Vegan Greek Fanouropita




1 Glass of Olive Oil

1 Glass of Sugar20160506_203637

1 Glass of Orange Juice

1 Tbsp Orange Zest

3 Glasses Flour

1 Tsp Baking Soda

1 Tsp Ground Cinnamon

1/2 Glass Walnut roughly chopped (optional)

1/2 Glass Black Raisins (optional)



  1. Mix together the sugar, ground cinnamon, orange zest and olive oil until well combined.
  2. Add in the flour alternately with the orange juice and mix until the flour has been combined. The batter will be very thick.
  3. Add in the baking soda, walnuts and the black raisins.
  4. Pour the mixture into a prepared pan and bake until golden and a tester inserted into the middle of the cake comes out clean.

Bake for 45-50 minutes at Gas Mark 4.

Let it cool for 10 minutes and then remove it from the pan. You can also dust it with confectioners sugar before serving.
